Years of Experience: After my 3rd year of college, I received an emergency call to Beverly Hills, FL to serve as 3-5th grade teacher for the 1999-2000 school year. I then completed my final year of school to receive my teaching degree in the spring of 2001 and "officially" began my teaching ministry the September following.  It has been a joy to serve the Lord for the last 6 years that I have been teaching in Rochester.
Current responsibilities: I am teaching grades 5-6 and departmentalized 7-8 Computer and Physical Education. I also serve as assistant principal and have duties that include: Athletic Director, ESCaPE (Child care) Coordinator, School Marketing & Outreach, Hot Lunch Coordinator, Band Coordinator, and School Health & Crisis Management.
Education: Martin Luther College, B.A., 2001
Hobbies: Back in the day, I joyed playing football, running track, and playing basketball. Today, whenever I get the chance, I enjoy camping, fishing, hunting and watching my favorite Minnesota sports teams on television.
Birthplace & places you've been: I was born in New Ulm, MN but grew up on a farm in nearby Sleepy Eye. I took my first trip out-of-state in 7th grade! The first time I was on an airplane was when I accepted the Emergency Call to Florida and had to be on a plane 2 days later! My favorite place on earth is the Boundary Waters in northern Minnesota.

Family: I have been married for 7 years to Katherine (Mielke). Almost three years ago, God blessed us with a baby girl (Olivia Grace). Yet again last year, he blessed us with another daughter (Hannah Faith).
